Describe the two most interesting or unusual chapter activities this year: The 2011-2012 year has been an active one for the N.J. Lambda chapter of Pi Mu Epsilon. On May 1, twelve students and two members of the faculty were inducted into the society during the annual Mathematics Awareness Week activities. In addition several graduating seniors and members of Pi Mu Epsilon presented their Capstone research projects. They highlight the mathematical talents which are being fostered in our department. Following the induction an invited speaker from Black Rock, Inc. gave the annual address.
