Describe the two most interesting or unusual chapter activities this year:

During our Abramson Colloquium/Pi Mu Epsilon Ceremony held on April 27, 2008 we inducted 14 students and 2 new faculty members and heard a wonderful talk, ” Music and Math: Exploring the Connections” (which included music of Bach, Gershwin and bell ringing)by Dr Gareth Roberts of The College of the Holy Cross.

Do any of your chapter members plan to attend or present a paper at the PME national meeting at MathFest in Madison, Wisconsin?

Do you have any news about current students or recent graduates, for example, scholarships or other awards, acceptances to graduate school, paper presentations at conferences?

A few of our members presented at Bridgewater’s undergraduate research symposium and ! at (NCUR) the Natuonal Conference of Undergardute research. One of our students recieved a scholarship based on her 4.0 average for all classes taken.
