Activities: Our math club, of which our PME chapter is a subset, hosted a pumpkin carving evening in October as our most unusual social event of the year. Once again, we hosted a PME conference at St. John's University in April. A successful conference, this year Dr. Hal Schenck at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaigne was our invited speaker giving talks on "The Mathematics of Google" and "Warning: Higher Dimensions Alter Reality". There were also eighteen student presentations during the conference.

Do any of your chapter members plan to attend or present at the PME National Meeting this year?

Do you have any news about current students or recent graduations? For example, scholarships or other awards, acceptances to graduate school, paper presentations at conferences, etc.
Our members are very active. Of our graduating seniors, two, Preston Hardy and Michael Terhaar, are already working for companies; one, Melissa Stuckey, is attending medical school; and two, Alyssa Anderson and Amanda Luby, are attending graduate school in Computer Science and Statistics, respectively. Other students are either actively pursuing research or have been presenting at conferences this past year. In particular, we had students present at MathFest 2013, the Nebraska Conference for Undergraduate Women in Mathematics, the PME conference at St. John's University, and MN Private Colleges at the Capitol.

If you were awarded a PME Lectureship, Conference, or Prize Grant within the past year, please briefly describe the results.
