Describe the two most interesting or unusual chapter activities this year:
1) Students of Pi Mu Epsilon made a presentation titled “Revolutions in Mathematical History: From Zero to Infinity” at an on-campus conference. Student presenters were Amanda Bettinger, Anthony Franklin, and Thomas Whitt. Topics covered in the presentation were the history of the number 0, irrational numbers including the square root of 2 and the Golden Ratio, and complex numbers including their use in generating fractals.
2)Pi Mu Epsilon hosted two Math Jeopardy events on campus. Students came, played Jeopardy, and had refreshments.
