We also sponsored Dr. James Sellers from Penn State to visit us and present a talk at a colloquium.

Do any of your chapter members plan to attend or present at the PME National Meeting this year? Yes, Victoria Kelley received a PME Travel Grant to present a talk on her research at MathFest in DC!

Do you have any news about current students or recent graduations? For example, scholarships or other awards, acceptances to graduate school, paper presentations at conferences, etc.
Last summer, Maria Annone interned at VanDemark and Lynch Inc., a civil engineering and surveying firm. Victoria Kelley presented research at the SUMS Conference at JMU, the Joint Mathematics Meetings (JMM) in Texas, the Nebraska Conference for Undergraduate for Women in Mathematics (NCUWM), the MAA MD-DC-VA Section Meeting.
