Describe the two most interesting or unusual chapter activities this year:

This fall we had a scholarly mathematical evening. We had tea and refreshment, and spent the evening discussing mathematical subjects, telling math jokes and doing math problems. This spring (April 4) we will be having a speaker from Harvard. He will be speaking just before our inductions, and will help to commemorate our first anniversary. We also had a student speak at mathfest in August.

Do any of your chapter members plan to attend or present a paper at the PME national meeting at MathFest in San Jose, California or at the 2008 PME national meeting at MathFest in Madison, Wisconsin.?

Yes, Arielle Leitner plans on attending mathfest in Madison, hopefully we will have others as well.

Do you have any news about current students or recent graduates? For example, scholarships or other awards, acceptances to graduate school, paper presentations at conferences. :

Most of our new inductees are still in school. We do have one alumnus that is doing very well at UC Davis.
