We invite you to join us at the Annual Conference of Pi Mu Epsilon to be
held in conjunction with the MAA MathFest in
Talks may be on any mathematical topic or application in areas such as
statistics, computing, or operations research. Presentation time is fifteen
minutes. We welcome topics including expository research, interesting
applications, problems, etc. The American Mathematical Society [AMS] gives PME
an annual grant to be used for cash awards to students whose exposition and
research are exemplary. The Council for Undergraduate Research [CUR] offers a
monetary prize for the best research paper. In addition the MAA's Special Interest Groups for Environmental Mathematics
[SIGMAA-EM] and for Biology [BioSIGMAA], and the
Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics [
Students should see their Pi Mu Epsilon Faculty Advisors for more information about attending the MAA's MathFest 2008 and for an appropriate topic for a student talk at our 2008 PME Conference.
