Our Pi Mu Epsilon Constitution requires that its National Officers be elected every three years to serve a three-year term. This is the year! Our Secretary-Treasurer must receive your vote by Monday March 10, 2008. Our present Officers can be found here. The newly elected officers will take office on July 1, 2008.
Our Constitution requires the Nominating Committee to nominate at least one person for each of the offices of President-Elect, Secretary-Treasurer, and Journal Editor, and at least six for the four positions as Councillors. The nominees are: David Sutherland for President-Elect, Leo Schneider for Secretary-Treasurer, and Brigitte Servatius for Editor. There are seven nominees for the four positions as Councillors: Paul Fishback, Maria Fung, Michelle Ghrist, Jacqueline Jensen, Kendra Killpatrick, Angela Spalsbury, and Philip Yasskin. Brief biographical sketches of these ten nominees, together with those of David Sutherland and Joan Weiss who will succeed to the offices of President and Past President, respectively, may be found at at the Candidate Information Page.
It is the responsibility of each Chapter’s Permanent Faculty Correspondent to submit the Chapter’s vote. In the majority of Chapters the Chapter Advisor functions as its Permanent Faculty Correspondent. Our Secretary-Treasurer will take your Chapter's vote by whichever means is most convenient to you. Chapters can mark this ballot.
and email it to our Secretary-Treasurer at Leo@jcu.edu as an attachment; Chapters can send the Secretary-Treasurer an email and tell him their choices; or Chapters can print out the ballot and send it to the Secretary-Treasurer:
Remember, the Secretary-Treasurer must receive your chapter's vote by Monday, March 10, 2008.
