The Charter fee for new chapters will be $50 for all chapters whose petitions are received after September 1, 2003. For chapters installed after September 1, 2003, we will make an "Installation Package" available for the highly discounted price of $100. In addition to the charter, banner, roll book, and 10 copies of our Constitution, it will also include samples of our Key Pin and our Honor Cord.
Councillor Eve Torrence will replace Past-Past-President Rick Poss as our Pi Mu Epsilon T Shirt person.
The editor of the Pi Mu Epsilon Journal reported many submissions of articles, but mostly by faculty. Ideally, almost all the articles published in our Journal should be student-written.
Our summer 2004 meetings will be Providence, Rhode Island August 12 to 14. The deadline for abstracts for student papers will be June 30, 2004. Our summer 2005 meetings will be in Albuquerque, New Mexico August 4 to 6.
By fall we will have a new supply of Roll Books for our chapters using 10 sheets of 8.5 by 11 inch acid-free paper. The selling price was set at $35.
As soon as replacements can be made available this fall, our present several-year supply of charters and seals that contain the word "Fraternity" will be replaced with those that do not. The Council will be advised of the cost of destroying our present supply.
The majority of the meeting was devoted to a continuation of our detailed reading and analysis of our present Pi Mu Epsilon Constitution to arrive at a set of amendments to re-align our Constitution with our current policies and procedures.
