Activities: Pi Mu Epsilon members helped inaugurate a new tradition of celebrating Women in Mathematics as part of Women’s History Month. Students honored women mathematicians, past and present, with bulletin boards, posters, and physical book displays on their lives and mathematical contributions. Related activities included a birthday tribute and cake ceremony in honor of the renowned algebraist Emmy Noether (March 23, 1882 - April 14, 1935) and a keynote address by the distinguished mathematician/statistician Dr. Arlene Ash of the UMass School of Medicine, My Work in Statistics: Women’s health, gender equity, and health care financing.

Three of this year's six Chapter inductees delivered presentations at the Simmons College Undergraduate Research Conference on April 24, 2014 as follows: Felicia Lin, Elliptic Curves as Applied to Discrete Logarithms & Cryptography; Ashley Hatcher, Topics in Matrix Theory; Taylor Mahoney, Methods of Assessing Polygenic Risk Burden: Applications to Multiple Sclerosis.
