Activities: Our colloquium speaker Dr. Jacqueline Anderson of Bridgewater State University presented "The Mathematics of Voting." Induction took place on April 8, 2018.

Do you have any news about current students or recent graduations? For example, scholarships or other awards, acceptances to graduate school, paper presentations at conferences, etc.
Patricia Denneen is going to graduate school for a PhD in mathematical sciences from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Christine Marcotte is going to graduate school for PhD in mathematics from University of Rhode Island. Jamie Nelson is going to gradate school for an MS in computer science from Boston University. Terry Mullen ('15) completed an MS degree in applied mathematics at UMass Amherst and did an internship at Lincoln Laboratory. Now she is working on a PhD in electrical engineering at UMass Amherst, applying machine learning to planetary-science data.
