Activities: We received a $100 matching grant which was used to fund the prizes for our annual undergraduate math competition.

Do any of your chapter members plan to attend or present at the PME National Meeting this year? Callie Reid hopes to attend the JMM 2024 meeting to present research.

Do you have any news about current students or recent graduations? For example, scholarships or other awards, acceptances to graduate school, paper presentations at conferences, etc.
We had one student (Callie Reid) present at JMM 2023 in Boston. I think this was the first time a VSU undergraduate student has presented at JMM. Margarita Bustos Gonzalez (2016 PME inductee) is currently working on her Ph.D. at the University of Iowa. J'nai Holloway received the Maya Goel Mathematics Scholarship. Callie Reid received teh Elizabeth Joy Lohmar Mathematics Scholarship. Callie Reid was recognized as a finalist for the top student in the College of Science and Mathematics at VSU.
