Activities: Career Panel Event: This year, we held a career panel event and a student math club leader moderated the event. We had two former alumni as well as another speaker not affiliated with IU East who answered questions and gave students career related advise. Virtual Coffee Hours: We have held “coffee hours” online where students are encouraged to join while eating dinner or having a cup of coffee or hot chocolate and to chat with other students and faculty or simply listen. For some of these, we have had faculty come and chat about student research opportunities, talked with students about the courses in the department and answered questions they had as well as introducing ourselves and having students introduce themselves and chat with instructors.
