Describe the two most interesting or unusual chapter activities this year:
1)The New York Alpha Theta Chapter of Pi Mu Epsilon held one meeting this year, sponsored a visiting speaker, and inducted new members.
2)The February meeting was for the officers of the local chapter to plan the details of the induction ceremony, which was held on March 26, 2007. The Chapter inducted 9 new students and the guest speaker as well, bringing the Chapter membership to a total of 125. The guest speaker was Brenda Johnson of Union College, who delivered a lecture entitled ‘Searching for Missing Links: the Evolution of Some Undergraduate Research Projects.
3)At the end of April, the Chapter discussed elections for the local officers. Unfortunately, not enough volunteers stepped forward to run elections. We intend to recruit candidates and hold an election early in September.
