Activities: Andy Fry presented a talk on Abelian Sandpiles, the topic of his 2013 pre-REU at University of Hawaii Hilo. Professor Kathryn Nyman of Willamette University spoke at our induction on "Cutting Cakes with Linked Preferences."

Do you have any news about current students or recent graduations? For example, scholarships or other awards, acceptances to graduate school, paper presentations at conferences, etc.
Andy Fry presented a poster the 2014 Joint Mathematics Meetings and won a prize for his talk at the Northwest Undergraduate Mathematics Symposium. Andy earned a spot in the 2014 San Diego State University REU. Jillian Johnson & Kara Tyler entered the Master of Arts in Teaching program at Western Oregon University.
