Describe the two most interesting or unusual chapter activities this year:

1) PME and our student chapter of MAA sponsored the Slowpitch Seminars which featured talks by students and faculty throughout the year. Among the highlights, we watched the famous pi vs. e debate and celebrated Pi Day with the pre-service math teachers club.

2)Our first annual Mobius Strip Festival was held, as well.

Do any of your chapter members plan to attend or present a paper at the PME national meeting at MathFest in San Jose, California?

Do you have any news about current students or recent graduates? For example, scholarships or other awards, acceptances to graduate school, paper presentations at conferences. :

Kristen Truett was the Presidential Award winner. This is ASU’s highest honor for graduating seniors. Jared Kinyon will be attending Florida State to pursue graduate work in Physics.
