Activities: Our chapter had a Pi Day celebration to raise money for community math groups. During the celebration, three professors were pied in the face. We also held a fundraiser for our organization by selling Mathematics and Statistics T-shirts to the JMU community.

Do any of your chapter members plan to attend or present at the PME National Meeting this year? Yes, Victoria Kelley presented a talk at the PME National Meeting in Portland.

Do you have any news about current students or recent graduations? For example, scholarships or other awards, acceptances to graduate school, paper presentations at conferences, etc.
Rachel Allen has received two scholarships: The Madison Achievement Scholarship and the Joan and the Ernest Droms Memorial Scholarship in Mathematics. Emily Hunt won first place at the MD-DC-VA Sectional Meeting of the MAA Spring 2014. Victoria Kelley presented a poster at the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM) Conference on the Life Sciences this past summer. Emily Hunt and Victoria Kelley will both be giving talks at the Shenandoah Undergraduate Mathematics and Statistics (SUMS) Conference this fall.
