Activities: 1. TROY MathFest undergraduate mathematics conference--over 80 participants from across the Southeast from 15 universities and colleges. We had a Kahoot trivia competition, graduate school browse session, talks/posters by students, invited speaker Professor Atif Abueida from the University of Dayton, and a calculus competition. 2. We had 2 seminars on pi: One was focused on the definition of and approximating pi, and another was focused on alternative ways to approximate pi and some of the history of pi. We also ate pie in celebration of pi.

Do any of your chapter members plan to attend or present at the PME National Meeting this year? Yes, we had two of our members give presentations at the Joint Mathematics Meetings 2024 in San Francisco. Their names are Jessica Carlos and Tyler Acton

Recent graduations of PME members with math majors: Jessica Carlos, Clay Lang, Evie Campbell, and Myrie King, Ashik Kannan. Recent graduate with a Master of Science in Applied Mathematical Sciences from Troy University--first to graduate from this program: Laura Grace Dennis Paper presentations at conferences: 1. Jeremy Mathews, Troy University Evie Campbell passed Actuarial Exams P and FM. Tyler Acton is the 2023-24 recipient of the Murray and George O'Neal scholarship at Troy University for math majors.
