Describe the two most interesting or unusual chapter activities this year:

We had a department award ceremony as part of our induction ceremony, and the keynote speaker was Kevin Laley, a Pi Mu Epsilon member (inducted in 2005). He spoke to students, faculty, administration, and families on “Buying Your First Home: The Mathematics Behind the Mortgage Process”.

Did any of your chapter members attend or present a paper at the 2009 PME national meeting at MathFest in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania?

No, not this year.
