Activities: Note: During the year and a half of remote teaching 2020-2021, we were unable to submit chapter reports (and would have had little to report due to the absence of in-person activities!). --- On May 13, 2022 we had our induction ceremony. Professor Emeritus Marlow Anderson gave the invited lecture on Euler’s orgins of the number e. Due to his incredible service to the mathematics community and passion for teaching and learning mathematics, we inducted Marlow as an honorary member of our chapter. Following the lecture, we inducted thirteen incredible members of our community into the organization. This celebration was truly a special one as it was our first in-person celebration in two years. We had an exceptional turn out in-person and on Zoom. The other interesting activity this year was the firs ever Pi-k! This fun event was organized by the United Math Clubs (several members are Pi Mu Epsilon members) in conjunction with the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science. The clubs creat a path around campus in the shape of the number pi and members of the campus community were encouraged to run, walk, bike, or scoot to the finish line. Celebrations with pie and other fun pi –day activities followed. We had a great turn out and hope to continue this event in years to come.
