Describe the two most interesting or unusual chapter activities this year:

1) Sponsored “Mathematics Majors’ Life After Fairfield University: A Panel of Mathematics Major Gradutes”. Six mathematics major graduates representing classes from 1986 through 2005 shared their use of mathematics after graduation.

2)Sponsored “What can I do as an undergrad Math Major? PLENTY! Find out at the Panel on Interships & R.E.U.s”. Students presented information about an intership at St Paul Travelers and an REU at George Washington University.

Do any of your chapter members plan to attend or present a paper at the PME national meeting at MathFest in San Jose, California?

Do you have any news about current students or recent graduates? For example, scholarships or other awards, acceptances to graduate school, paper presentations at conferences. :
