Activities: The Massachusetts Alpha chapter hosted a Massachusetts PME Chapter Meetup in January thanks to funding from PME and the WPI Math Department. We hope to run this event again. Several students from our chapter attended the Discrete Math Day at Mt. Holyoke College in November.

Do any of your chapter members plan to attend or present at the PME National Meeting this year? No members will attend the PME National Meeting this year due to the event's cancellation. We hope to send a delegation next year.

Do you have any news about current students or recent graduations? For example, scholarships or other awards, acceptances to graduate school, paper presentations at conferences, etc.
Eleven members graduated this year: Danielle Angelini, Emily Chen, Elijah Ellis, Rob Wondolowski, James McClung, Leah Mitchell, Andrew Murdza, Alissa Ostapenko, Jacob Pardue, Irene Wong, and Nicholas Wotton. Congratulations to all the graduates! No students were inducted this year because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. We hope to induct new members in the fall.

If you were awarded a PME Lectureship, Conference, or Prize Grant within the past year, please briefly describe the results.
The Massachusetts Alpha chapter received a PME Conference Grant to fund a Massachusetts PME Chapter Meetup at WPI on Saturday, January 25; the WPI Math Department graciously matched the PME funding. Members of all Massachusetts chapters were invited, and the event featured a talk from WPI Professor Bill Martin on quantum computing. The event was successful in connecting students from different PME chapters and we hope to hold it again in the coming academic year.
