Activities: On Saturday, April 15th from 11:30am-3pm, the Pi Mu Epsilon Honor Society hosted “A Roadmap Through Mathematics: Exploring Undergraduate Opportunities and Beyond”. In this event, we interviewed current undergraduate and graduate students, professors and STEM-affiliated clubs to paint a picture of all the opportunities that the Department of Mathematics and Statistics has to offer. By the end of the event, we will answer: What is it like being a mathematics, statistics or actuarial science major at Binghamton? What opportunities and resources are available to students? What does research in math entail? What kind of research is conducted here? How much do students enjoy learning mathematics here? Our schedule is as follows: 11:30am-12pm: Greeting and refreshments 12pm-1pm: Student Panel 1pm-1:30pm: Lunch 1:30-2:30pm: Faculty Panel 2:30-3pm: Club Panel

Do any of your chapter members plan to attend or present at the PME National Meeting this year? Not that I know of.

Do you have any news about current students or recent graduations? For example, scholarships or other awards, acceptances to graduate school, paper presentations at conferences, etc.

If you were awarded a PME Lectureship, Conference, or Prize Grant within the past year, please briefly describe the results.
