2017 Mathematics Conference and Competition of Northern New York (MCCNNY) 2017 was held at Clarkson University on October 28, 2017. The organizing Committee consists Prof. Guangming Yao, Prof. Jie Sun, Prof. Joel Foisy, Prof. Blair Madore, Mr. Jesse Clark-Stone, Prof. Daniel Look. The conference was partially supported by PME Conference Grant and Student Prize Grant. The conference offered two key note presentations offered by Prof. Ben Galluzzo from Shippensburg University and by Prof. Tom Garrity from Williams College. Overall, over 60 conference attendees. Two panel discussions on Undergraduate Research and Career are delivered by formal and current students from the Associated Colleges of St. Lawrence Valley (including Clarkson University, SUNY Potsdam, SUNY Canton and St. Lawrence University). Twelve (12) student oral presentations, 14 student poster presentations were delivered. Six (6) oral presentation prizes and 3 poster presentation prizes were offered at the end of the conference together with Trivia/Jeopardy game by students. It was a great success for our local students.
