Activities: We continued our PME Colloquium Series by hosting 3 guest speakers this year, including one at our 7th annual fall pizza party in December 2019. We would have had more speakers, were it not for the pandemic. The average attendance was 28. Our guest speakers came from Davidson College, High Point University, and Missouri State University. They spoke about: Actuarial Science, the Mathematics of Gerrymandering, and Data Science.

Do any of your chapter members plan to attend or present at the PME National Meeting this year? No

Do you have any news about current students or recent graduations? For example, scholarships or other awards, acceptances to graduate school, paper presentations at conferences, etc.
18 of our PME members graduated this year. Some are attending graduate school, others will be high school math teachers, and the rest are entering the workforce in STEM careers.

If you were awarded a PME Lectureship, Conference, or Prize Grant within the past year, please briefly describe the results.
We were awarded a matching grant to help fund our PME Research Award. This award is given to a student or students who have shown outstanding achievement in the dissemination of mathematical research. This year's recipient was Ashley Pritchard who presented and published her research on computational algebraic number theory. We were also awarded a Conference Grant which helped fund the 15th annual Regional Mathematics and Statistics Conference, which was held on Nov 2, 2019, at UNC-Greensboro. There were 121 attendees and 44 student presentations.
