Activities: Our induction ceremony was held in April, with new chapter adviser Carrie Green serving as Master of Ceremonies. We invited a graduating senior math major and Pi Mu Epsilon member to speak to our newest inductees. The guest speaker spoke about their favorite memories of being a math major at SUNY Geneseo and their future in mathematics.

Do any of your chapter members plan to attend or present at the PME National Meeting this year? Not at this time

Do you have any news about current students or recent graduations? For example, scholarships or other awards, acceptances to graduate school, paper presentations at conferences, etc.
We have several students beginning Ph.D. programs in mathematics or masters programs in education, receiving competitive job offers in industry, and beginning teaching careers. At our college's annual GREAT Day (Geneseo Recognizing Excellence, Achievement & Talent) undergraduate symposium, many students gave talks and presented posters.

If you were awarded a PME Lectureship, Conference, or Prize Grant within the past year, please briefly describe the results.
As in previous years, we offered math competition prizes, known to us as the Pi Mu Epsilon Prizes, to encourage student participation in the Putnam Exam and other mathematical competitions. Half of the prize money is provided by a PME prize grant, with matching funds from our Department of Mathematics. This year, the Pi Mu Epsilon Prize for $75 was awarded to Ian Faerman for his successful participation in the SUNYMathics competition.
